Prosper Health Just Raised $10 Million. Eyes Expansion Into Other Adjacent Verticals

WESTON, FLORIDA – Prosper Health, a telehealth company that diagnoses and treats autistic adults, sold about $10 million of stock to 6 investors, according to a notice it filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Sept. 10. The company reported that the offering’s first sale occurred Aug. 28 and that it had sold the full amount offered.

Prosper Health works at the adult end of autism care, where diagnoses grew fastest through 2022. A 2024 study in JAMA Network Open, based on annual records from more than 9 million people per year across 12 health-system sites, found autism diagnosis rates rose 175% between 2011 and 2022, and that the steepest climb, 450%, came among 26-to-34-year-olds.

The company was incorporated in 2023, lists a Weston, Florida, address on its filings, and advertises corporate roles in New York and remotely. It sells two things by video: an autism evaluation (two sessions of up to 90 minutes with a psychologist, plus a feedback session) and ongoing therapy. As of August 2026, it is in-network with 6 commercial insurers, including Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare, in 30 states, with exceptions by state and service.

Schecter, who signed both of the company’s SEC notices as chief executive, wrote on LinkedIn in April 2025 that he founded the company “for deeply personal reasons”: a close family member is autistic, and his sister is a nurse practitioner in developmental pediatrics. Through them, he wrote, he had seen “the severe lack of support for autistic adults.”

The August sale was the company’s second disclosed round in 20 months. In January 2025, it raised $16.2 million from 32 investors; the two filings together put its disclosed equity raised at about $26.3 million. Neither notice names the investors or a valuation, and neither form asks for either. Spice Capital lists Prosper Health in its portfolio and identifies Haystack and Kindred Ventures as co-investors. The portfolio page does not specify which financing rounds they joined. Lexi Henkel, who joined Maverick Ventures, the venture arm of Maverick Capital, in 2023, is listed as a director on both filings.

Recruiting copy on the company’s job board, last updated in May 2026, says it is “growing 3x year over year” with “mid-double-digit millions in run-rate revenue,” meaning annualized revenue at its current pace, and “thousands of active clients and 400+ clinicians.”

Headspace, the meditation app that also offers therapy and coaching, has opened a referral channel to the company. On July 21, it named Prosper Health one of 4 outside providers, along with Charlie Health, Cortica, and Equip, that Headspace therapists, psychiatrists, and coaches can refer members to directly. Headspace’s benefit does not cover those services, and members may pay extra.

Prosper Health has not said how it will spend the money. Its job board lists dozens of therapist and psychologist postings, along with leadership roles focused on new services and provider growth. A psychiatric nurse practitioner posting says Prosper plans to launch medication management by the end of 2026 and is recruiting clinicians in Arizona.
