Melissa Kozak and Invivo CE will host the Build Your ABA Practice Summit 2027, a virtual event on BehaviorLive for BCBAs who are considering opening or growing their own ABA practice. The main summit takes place on Friday, February 12, 2027, preceded by a pre-conference day on Thursday, February 11.
The Friday program runs eight sessions, starting with an opening keynote on the shift from clinician to owner and moving through choosing a business model; legal, licensing and compliance foundations; credentialing, payer contracts, authorizations, billing and cash flow; marketing and referrals; operations and quality systems; and hiring and retention. A closing keynote addresses what makes an ABA company valuable to a buyer. Listed speakers include Ronit Molko, Jeff Beck, Brett Blevins, Sara Feldman, Matthew Harrington, Rachel Taylor and Elizabeth Matthews. The summit carries 8 BACB CEUs, all sessions are recorded, and replay access runs through August 12, 2027. An early bird rate of $127 is posted.
The organizers position the event as business training rather than clinical content, aimed at BCBAs whose graduate programs did not cover entity formation, payer enrollment or cash flow. Several speakers have founded and later sold ABA companies, giving attendees a view of the provider life cycle from startup through acquisition.
