The Autism Legal Resource Center will hold the 20th Autism Law Summit on October 27–28, 2026, at the Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, South Carolina. The annual meeting draws more than 450 participants, including autism service providers, attorneys, legislators, lobbyists, parents and autistic self-advocates who work on autism law and policy.

The two-day agenda includes sessions on private ABA providers working in schools, ABA therapy fraud with the HHS Office of Inspector General, a CPT code update from the ABA Coding Coalition, residential programs under the HCBS Settings Rule, facility licensure in Arkansas, Colorado and Texas, accreditation, insurance appeals and an annual legal update. Attendees who buy a CEU pass can earn 5.5 BACB general CEUs and 5 attorney CLE credits. Regular registration is $475, or $250 for parents and self-advocates. A welcome reception on October 26 precedes the summit, and a separately ticketed 20th Anniversary Gala follows on October 28 at The Grand at 81 Mary.

The summit was founded by Lorri Unumb, now chief executive of the Council of Autism Service Providers. Its focus on insurance coverage, Medicaid, medical necessity, billing and coding, and mental health parity has made it a recurring meeting point for providers and advocates tracking the legal and regulatory forces that shape access to ABA services and how they are paid for.
