The Black Association of Behavior Analysts holds its 2026 Annual Convention at Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi — the first time in the organization’s history that the convention will be hosted at a Historically Black College or University. The four-day event brings together students, practitioners, researchers, educators, and community leaders for learning, collaboration, and community building.

Programming includes research presentations, community development sessions, mentorship circles, and programming designed to support the next generation of Black behavior analysts. The convention foregrounds culturally responsive practice, equity in supervision and hiring, and the structural barriers Black practitioners and clients navigate in the field.

The Call for Papers closed in January 2026; programming details and the official hotel block are released through BABA’s newsletter. The 2026 location at an HBCU is itself a milestone for the organization — past conventions have rotated through major cities, and the move to Jackson State signals a deliberate investment in the HBCU pipeline for behavior analysis.
