The Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) will hold its 2027 World Conference June 24–27, 2027, at Hong Kong Science Park (HKSTP) in Hong Kong. In-person pre-conference workshops run June 22–23, and a virtual pre-conference program is scheduled for May 21–22. The meeting serves researchers and clinicians working in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational Frame Theory (RFT) and related approaches, with attendance estimated at more than 1,000.
Featured speakers include ACT co-founder Steven C. Hayes; Patricia Robinson, co-founder of the Primary Care Behavioral Health model; Dennis Tay of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; and Zhu Zhuohong of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. More than 50 workshops of 1.5 and 3 hours are included with in-person registration, and the program offers language interpretation. Connie Chong of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Eric Morris of La Trobe University co-chair the program. ACBS is approved to offer APA continuing education and plans to apply for BCBA CEs; the call for submissions is slated to open in November 2026.
ACBS is the professional home of contextual behavioral science, the research tradition behind ACT and RFT. The world conference is of interest to behavior analysts working on verbal behavior, acceptance-based interventions and staff wellbeing, areas where contextual behavioral science and applied behavior analysis overlap.
