The Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) and the Institutes for Behavior Resources (IBR) will hold their third annual translational conference, Translate This, online on November 6, 2026. The virtual event runs on BehaviorLive from 11:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern and is open to practitioners, students, technicians and university labs.

After opening remarks from Molly Dubuque and Derek Reed, three researchers present. Matthew Laske examines the full cost of staff injuries in behavioral services beyond the visible bites and bruises, Ji Young Kim discusses translational research rooted in classroom settings, and Samuel Morris reviews translational work on conditioned reinforcement. The speakers then join a closing panel on moving findings from research into practice. Each session carries 1 BACB general CEU, for 4 in total. Registration is $49.99 for APBA members, $74.99 for non-members and $24.99 for students and technicians, while a $149.99 lab registration lets faculty share access with students who need CEUs.

APBA represents practicing behavior analysts and runs an annual convention, scheduled next for Kansas City in March 2027. The partnership with IBR pairs that practitioner base with a research organization, giving clinicians a low-cost way to earn CEUs while seeing how laboratory and applied findings, from injury data to reinforcement science, bear on everyday ABA service delivery.
